Getting verified
It takes about a minute: connect, read two phrases, sign.
You need
- A Solana wallet in your browser that can sign messages: Phantom, Solflare or Backpack.
- A microphone, and a quiet room. Background voices make the words and voiceprint checks harder.
Steps
- Open Verify and pick your wallet.
- Read what is kept about you and agree to use the microphone.
- Press Record and read the five words at a normal pace. Press Done. Takes stop on their own after 12 seconds.
- Do the same with the second phrase.
- Your wallet asks you to sign a short message naming your wallet and the two phrases. It costs nothing and sends no transaction.
- Wait a few seconds while the verifier listens.
If you're refused
| Message | What it means |
|---|---|
| spoken words do not match | Whisper didn't hear the phrase in order. Speak clearly, closer to the mic, and try again. |
| the two recordings don't sound like the same voice | Your two takes scored below 0.50 against each other. Use the same mic and distance for both. |
| this voice is already verified on another wallet | One voice gets one wallet. If you lost the other wallet, see below. |
| this wallet is already verified | Nothing to do. You can delete it from the same page if you want to start over. |
| challenge expired | More than 60 seconds passed. Take a new phrase. |
Lost your wallet?
Moving a credential to a new wallet is supported by the program (rebind_wallet) but not yet by the site. Until it is, a credential stays with its wallet.
Deleting
On Verify, connect the same wallet and choose Delete my voiceprint. Your wallet signs a delete request, and the verifier removes the voiceprint and the credential record. See Privacy & your data.
